Pearls...

The most valuable pearls occur randomly in the wild and are extremely rare.
These pearls are referred to as Natural Pearls.

Cultured Fresh Water Pearls however, farmed from pearl oysters and mussels, make up the majority of pearls that are sold to the public and to retailers throughout the world.

Pearls are are very delicate as they are primarily made up of calcium carbonate which can scratch and lose it's lustre quite easily if they are not taken care of.

A pearl ring, earrings or a pearl necklace make up a wonderfully classic addition to any woman's jewellery collection and can be taken care of simple by avoiding exposing them to chemicals such as perfume, cosmetics and hairspray.

Put your pearls on last and take them off first! Before putting them away wipe them gently with a soft cloth.
